Legion favour (LF) is used to rally new heroes, but also recruit and upgrade certain units (elite terminators and archmagos). The best way to obtain LF is to win skirmish battles but is also awarded from base assaults and from winning honour tournaments.
Note: Using legion favour on elite terminators or archmagos means you will have less leftover for hero rallies, making it harder to obtain the best heroes. Avoiding these units is recommended until you have rallied sufficiently strong heroes.
Tip: Periodically certain special deals will come up. These will reduce the cost of rallying heroes, increase the chance of rallying epic heroes, or increase the chance of getting better hero talents. It is best to save your LF for these special events.
