Skirmish Heroes

The best heroes for skirmish depend on your strategy (strength or speed).

Here are some heroes that work well with a strength strategy and some notes on how to use them effectively:

Horus Lupercal

Use his tactic to drop your army on the largest part of your opponent's army. Land a life-eater or two (to cover the whole army) if there are infantry involved.

Archmagos Draykavac

Use powerful units like glaives or predators to protect Dray from enemy attacks

Brother Gundor

Use his tactic to take control of the center node with free dreadnoughts, especially against bikes or terminators

Here are some heroes that work well with a speed strategy and some notes on how to use them effectively:

Veltin the Zealot

To deal with raptors, wait until the raptors have found a target, then use his tactic to drop right on top of the raptors. Haywire them to keep them from killing anything. His teleport ability can also be used to quickly escape a potentially deadly conflict.

Brother Zyrghal

Brother Gundor

The dreadnoughts from Gundor's tactic can be very useful with jetbikes. First, they can provide anti-air to deal with raptors. Just be careful they don't escape as your dreadnoughts can't move. Second, if going up against another jetbike army, the dreadnoughts can be used to destroy/slow down/distract/blockade enemy jetbikes. Otherwise use his tactic to distract your opponent, giving you time to quickly grab a few nodes.
