Defense Wargear (Green)

Like yellow wargear, green wargear can be used to support your troops or turrets. It can also be used to protect your buildings or boost their health.

For offensive heroes, damage resistance or dodge (for your most used unit types) are best. Dodge wargear only has an affect while your units are moving. And only applies to fast units. So consider using it for jetbikes, but not any other unit type. For other unit types, damage resistance is better.

If you are using a mix of different units, it's better to equip damage resistance wargear for your units with more total health. For example, two RZ of terminators have more total health than 6 RZ of jetbikes (assuming equal upgrade levels). So damage resistance on terminators is better than damage resistance for jetbikes in that case.

For skirmish heroes, in addition to damage resistance for units, consider haywire resistance if you are using vehicles. Since haywire only lasts a short time (at most 7 seconds even at the highest levels), a 4 second reduction (rare wargear) almost completely negates the tactic. Dodge wargear (e.g. MKIV Technology or Turbo-Booster) is mostly useless since you are not usually moving and being attacked at the same time.

For defensive heroes, damage resistance to specific turrets is good (use the guidelines above in the relic section).

Damage resistance to specific tactics (e.g. orbitals and deathstorm) is also very good. Watch replays of attacks on your base to know whether you are vulnerable to orbital strikes or deathstorm. If your opponents are consistently using one or the other, consider wargear to reduce the potency of that tactic.

Damage resistance to your support buildings (reinforced walls) is very good as well. Look for 30% or higher. If you see that your opponents are consistently spending time attacking your support buildings, this wargear can significantly slow them down.
